On the way to Sherwood Forest, we stopped off at Creswell Crags. On a tour around the site, we explored the prehistoric caves which gave us a feel for what life was like during the Ice Age in Britain. The guide handed around the kind of tools that would have been used for hunting and cooking, as well as showing us wall carvings from that time period.
We then headed towards our log cabin to enjoy a week of activities in the forest. These included the treetop challenge of Go Ape, mini forest rangers, and forest survival basics. This gave Levi and Laila-mai the opportunity to build a shelter, forage for food, and set up their own campfire. They also learnt about the local wildlife and built their own bug houses.
